What do you do when you offer asking price on a house you really wanted after 6 months of looking and someone outbids you by $30,000?
You do a little road trip therapy on a motorcycle with friends, that's what!
I will head out tomorrow at 5am to meet up with some buddies from Ohio in Chicago.
The last time I did any motorcycle road trip therapy was in Africa. I know, it's not the same, but Chicago does have deep dish pizza and besides, there can be some pretty wild characters on Michigan Avenue.

That sounds like freaking fun!!! Maybe you'll find a great house on Route 66.
Sorry about the outbidding thing. Bless the Lord though. Great things are coming your way!
Whaa.... You're kidding me dude, they bid 30,000 over asking price? Whaaa.... I'm speechless man. Somebody wanted that thing bad. Keep your ears peeled though man that might be a stinky deal, could fall through. Something's just weird about that one.
I think in a month or two you need to leave a Rover-style house warming gift on the front porch.
I'm in agreement with letseatpaste - I've been a personal recipient of your Rover-style house warming gifts (recall - it held air, was large, corn cob pipe?)....anyway, sorry about the house. Maybe it will fall through or maybe there is another house that is 10 times better for you.

Did you tell them that Ellie already made an "investment" in the house? But seriously, it was not meant to be. You might of found out that a week after moving in a huge metorite crushes the place or it's infested with termites. I think you get the picture. A better house is around the corner.
Enjoy your "road trip therapy!" So sorry about the house!
I LOVE Michigan Avenue! My old stomping grounds.
Have fun, although this therapy of yours only solves YOUR immediate trauma. What's the rest of the family doing for fun?
Isn't it amazing how God works things? It'll be interesting to see how this house situation works out. He's got cool things in store for you guys.
BTW - Hope the trip was as theraputic for you as it was for me. I'm ready for a repeat. :)
I was gonna say...that doesn't look anything like the Chicago I know!
Glad you had a good time. It was great seeing you - thanks for stopping in and making time for bfast with us!
